Shared foundation
One measurement stratum, two families.
Upstream Coherence Measurement Stratum (UCMS) is the common physics foundation: relational structure is treated as a measurable property whose integrity or loss can be characterized upstream of conventional outcomes.
Two developments
From the same foundation, distinct measurement lines.
The stratum does not collapse domains. It supplies the shared claim from which two families are built.
They inform each other because both attempt to characterize relational integrity from the UCMS foundation. Neither is reducible to the other. An organizational recoverability reading that ignores the conditions under which people can participate remains incomplete for human systems. An interior characterization that never asks whether the surrounding structure can sustain those conditions remains local.
Named candidate
Agápē as upstream invariant.
The name Agápē is used for a candidate structural invariant inside the stratum: a proposed quality of relational holding (non-coercive, persistent across change) that would make replenishment intelligible rather than mere temporary stabilization. It was chosen because it fills a semantic need—a term for that quality not already captured by stability, resilience, or performance.
The term is not advanced as a theological concept, is not derived from any religious tradition, and carries no claim about God, virtue, or sacred order. It is a name for the hypothesized invariant under test.
If the candidate holds, it supplies a reason the two families are mutually informative: the same relational property would be relevant both to whether an organization can sustain conditions for the people inside it and to whether larger systems can replenish themselves. It remains a hypothesis, not a locked operator and not a proven constant.
Primary record: Agápē Hypothesis (10.5281/zenodo.21983299).
Boundaries
What is not claimed.
This is not a claim that one operator or one score already measures flourishing and civilizational recoverability. It is not a claim that the interior family has locked SCFL operators. It is not a claim that Agápē has been established as a physical constant.
It is the statement that a shared measurement foundation exists, that two distinct families are being developed from it, and that a named candidate invariant makes their mutual relevance intelligible—subject to further evidence.
